slip 'n' slide

So I had another strange dream. I was hanging out with my cousins that I don't talk to anymore in what seemed like a dance hall. We were laughing and shooting the shit and whatnot. I think we were celebrating one of their weddings.

(A lot of fuzziness after this but on to the next scene).

I was at school yet again (yes, I realize this is getting excessive with this school business). It was weird, I had the feeling of when I was in middle school but put through a sepia filter, strange. This place was massive, it was located in a secluded place in what looked like the great wall of china of a gated school, complete with a river on the side and a jungle. I was in class with some of my closest friends: Kory was one of them.

All of a sudden they were all ganging up on me; they were mad at me for doing something and I couldn't figure out what for, no matter how many times I asked. I felt abandoned and confused and even people I didn't know would look at me and snicker.

Through all of this, the only friend that was there by my side, assuring me that everything would be fine, was my friend JD. He turned up out of nowhere and was there, comforting me. The both of us left the classroom and attempted to flee the grounds. We were running down the stairs and it was getting muddier and muddier (I think we may have even seen ghosts).

All of a sudden we turn a corner and were outside but he's gone. I don't see him anywhere. I think he ran too fast and just disappeared or something; I'm not quite sure what happened but I'm alone again.

But before I even have time to process any emotions, what I had walked into outside is in actuality, a live commercial for tourism. As in, it is being performed the way people just start singing out of nowhere in musicals and is supposed to be taken as real life, sincerely.

It was so fucking strange: weird blobby people are being unloaded from buses like some twisted ren and stimpy cartoon, people are being poured into giant trays like they're being made into deviled egss but it's a spa treatment. And there's mud everywhere but not like resort/spa mud. It was the kind of mud you'd find underneath the sole of your soggy boot, it even smelled like dirty boots.

I didn't know what to think and then I remember something about a man trying to help me swing from a vine so I can jump into the lake.
